Meet Dr. Edmond



We have been looking forward to this introduction for a while!

Nurture Pediatrics is thrilled to welcome Dr. Lauren Edmond to our Smyrna team. She officially joined us in July 2026, and if you have not had the chance to meet her yet, we think you are going to love her.

Dr. Edmond earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Rhodes College in Memphis before going on to complete her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Children's Hospital at Erlanger through the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She cares for patients from birth through young adulthood and sees patients Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at our Smyrna location.

Before joining Nurture Pediatrics, Dr. Edmond served as the founding pediatrician at a new clinic in Sevierville, Tennessee — building a patient panel from the ground up and earning a reputation that speaks for itself. The families she cared for described a pediatrician who listens, who takes her time, and who makes you feel truly heard. That is exactly the kind of provider we look for at Nurture Pediatrics, and exactly why we are so glad she is here.

Her approach is warm, attentive, and rooted in building real relationships with the families she serves. She is not just checking boxes — she is genuinely invested in your child and in partnering with you at every stage of their growth and health. Outside of the office, Dr. Edmond enjoys life on the water, tending to her garden, experimenting in the kitchen, and spending time with her pets. If you ask us, that tells you a lot — she is the kind of person who brings that same care and attention to everything she does.

And now for the personal news we could not be more excited to share — Dr. Edmond is getting married later this fall and will be changing her name to Dr. Tennant. We wanted to give our families a heads-up now so there are no surprises when you see her new name in your patient portal or on appointment reminders. Same wonderful doctor, same exceptional care — just a new name and a very exciting new chapter.
